Role the credits... part 2.

I just wrote this whole thing up and then accidentally erased the damn thing before posting it... Fuck!...

In the words of Nelly Furtado ´why do all good things come to an end?´

The trip is coming to a close. Today I fly out to Glasgow, where I will await my flight back home.

Last night we spent the evening with the Scottish guys. We were at Uni skating, drinking and taking the Barcelona night life in. Sarita and I had our first game of skate. Was it a success? Perhaps... or perhaps not. I don´t think the bottle of wine we each had helped. We were mostly messing around trying things. Although it may not have been the best display of skill it was all in good fun and no one got hurt. This is a picture of the group there last night...

From left to right, top to bottom: Jake, Adam, Brandan, Keith, Erik, Pat, Dave, and Sarita

Luckily enough, the boys are from Glasgow and Keith hooked me up with a place to stay tonight. I will arrive there are 8pm and I´m to meet up with his friend, Emma, at the Liquidship Bar where we works. Looks like I won´t have to spend another uncomfortable night in the Glasgow airport!

The last few days have been bittersweet. We´ve all been tying up loose ends and trying to make the most of our time. On Wednesday, Erik and I took the metro to Miramar. Its a gondola ride from up the mountain down to the beach. Here is the view just before you get on...

From there you get a full view of the city of Barcelona and its coastline. We met up with Sarita and Pat on the beach. Brandan was still sleeping off a rough hangover. We followed up the beach day with a few sunburns (which I´ve surprisingly been able to avoid -SPF30 baby!) That night we skated with the Scots and laid low for the evening.

The night before last we all went out to Manolo´s. I´m sure the street cervesa sellers made a killing that night, as everyone seemed hell bent on taking advantage while they still could. What was going to be a casual night out turned into bed at 7am after shaving Erik´s hair into his first time mohawk... funny enough, it doesn´t look half bad.

The next day, groggy and sleep deprived, everyone slowly got up. Some attempted to skate; some continued to sleep; and some went to art galleries. Sarita and I were relieved to have a little break from skatin. We ended up checking out this "Museum of Culture", which is basically a contemporary art gallery with European artists. The exhibit was excellent! Unfortunately, I don´t have any pictures to show, as I´ve run out of room on my memory card and am saving the last few flicks for Glasgow...

Here are few head shots of the gang... I just figured out how to play with the color settings on the camera and started to get a little portrait-happy... Ciao mi amigos!
