This is what happens when guys don't ask you to help them with the sunscreen on there back... a round of sunburns after the first day at the beach.
This was the first time at Parallel... the guys got some footage and represented Qualicum Beach.

A night at the Espanya ledge... the ledge is located in a plaza. There are performing arts buildings surrounding the square. That day there were some students installing a large sculpture...
I noticed we aquired a few collections in our apartment...
this is what we ended up seeing later that afternoon while walking along La Ramblas. I thought the poses were strickingly similar... This guy is balancing a glass ball on the tip of his thumb. He was really good at smoothly juggling it along his hands... like David Bowie in the Labyrinth. He was one of my favorite street performers seen on the trip.
The Matchsticks... just down from Montbau, the spot we were skating. Sarita and I went on a mission to get some water when we stumbled upon this. These sculptures are huge and cover a lot of ground! Just out of the picture is another match that was made to be black and burnt out looking... really cool work... one that has been skated on as well...
An evening with a couple of drinks at Haddock -a chill little pub just around the corner from where we were staying...
After MACBA, we were on our way to the beach and saw this installation. It was an army of men made from various types of recycled garbage. Each was about the scale of an average human. They filled the whole square and held quite a presence when you walked amongst them.
Parc Guell
and the Musee d'Gaudi...
Awaiting the sunrise...
I took this one of the way to the beach one day. This building had previously been overlooked by myself but apparently Sarita had noticed it a few days prior. She said there was banners and graffiti messages all over the outside. It appeared to be some kind of inhabitted protest. A few days later this is what it looked like. The place was surrounded by security guards and their dogs as the demolition continued. If you look close you can still see some people's clothes hanging from pegs on the walls. There wasn't any other signs of the protest... I'm not sure what happened after this.
Ferral cats at the Colluseum... they all came out of no where, like a little gang, and sat there staring at the people sitting at the cafe tables.
That's pretty much it for the photos from the trip... I would've liked to take more but I only had one working memory card... hope you enjoyed some of them... lots of love and good wishes, Tani.
